I have sensitive skin. what creams should i apply as sunscreen as well as a moisturiser?

I ABSOLUTELY have the same sensitive skin and have an answer for you! I use the Arbonne system and loved it so much I started selling it. The moisturizer has a built in sunscreen, but you can also add some of their sunscreen from the suncare line, which is great for summer! I love it that there aren't any toxins, mineral oils, animal by-products, and are even vegan. If you would like to try them, let me know. I can send you a sample if you sign in on my website.I have sensitive skin. what creams should i apply as sunscreen as well as a moisturiser?
One of my friends also has the same problem. After trying lots of products, she at last found the appropriate one for her. ';HerbLine';, a new product lauched in India. Try it out. Good Luck :)I have sensitive skin. what creams should i apply as sunscreen as well as a moisturiser?
I would try Mary Kay thy have

awesome product or try dermal therapy.

Thy both are made for dry skin. Mary Kays

foundation is really good it does not clog

your pores and it is light on your face.
For sunscreens, Fruit of the Earth makes on in SPF that's fragrance free. As for moisturizers, I love Neutrogena Body Formula fragrance free. For facial use, Neutrogena also makes a fragrance free product.

I have very sensitive skin what is the best moisturiser (all over) as i can not keep using steroid creams?

suffer from slight eczemaI have very sensitive skin what is the best moisturiser (all over) as i can not keep using steroid creams?
Im even allergic to things ike e45 and aqueus cream. try www.monicalovelybubbly.com

She only uses natural things in her prodcts and they are very gentle and best of all smell delicious!!I have very sensitive skin what is the best moisturiser (all over) as i can not keep using steroid creams?
I like the Cetaphil cream in the tub-- also, the doc recommended that for my kid, who's got eczema. It cleared hers up.
I also have eczema and its a pain. I have been prescribed Epaderm ointment. It is very very greasy, but it works. It soaks into the skin and it seems to last me for ages. I put loads on over the night and let it soak in. I need to have a shower in the mornings to wash the excess off. I put a very slight layer on in the mornings which lasts untill night time.

It is worth getting.

I live in UK, it should be sold/prescribed where you are as well. If you dont live in UK as well.

Good luck
My best friend has eczma she uses Aveeno lotion. Just read the label and find the one that's especially for skin conditions. It smells good and it works well.
my face used to break out extremely badly, i used many different products that didnt work. one that i found very good was a cetaphil that have a moisturizer and a actual face wash to use before the moistureizer. i have seen this product at many stores . if you are looking for it cheaper than drug stores , try walmart , target , or kmart. these stores sell it for less than any type of drug stores in my area. hopefully you take my advice and give it a try :D good luck !
Go for the sensetive skin ranges such as simple (imean the products are called simple) or baby moisturiser, or e45
There are some amazing products out there made by Arbonne International. I have a son with eczema and the baby products worked within 24 hours. The symptoms come back only when I forget to use the products. There are some amazing before/after photos of the products. If you want to see them, let me know and I can give you my web address to view them. Also, most people with really sensitive skin do wonderful with the products because there are no dyes/chemical fragrances in the products. I have a friend with extremely sensitive skin and she love the products. These are the only products that she can tolerate. Let me know if you would like more information.

  • Dermalogica Creams/Moisturiser?

My docotor has suggested trying a dermalogica moisturiser for very dry skin. She couldnt remember the name but said that it comes in three types. A very thin lotion, a thick almost paste like and middle one of normal consistency. Has anyone heard of this cream? Do you know the name of it? PS She said that at one stage all 3 types were available in Europe but now the normal consistency one is not available outside the USA and this is the one I want? Any ideas?Dermalogica Creams/Moisturiser?
I Think Your Doctor is Talking About ' Dermalogica: Skin Smoothing Cream '

It Is For Very Dry Skin/ Dehydrated Skin, It is quite thick but full of ingredients that Rehydrate the skin and Keep it Soft.

    http://www.dermalogica.com/uk/products.h鈥?/a>

You Could also use ' Dermalogica: Super Rich Repair ' which is for Very Dry Pre - Aging Skin which again is Moisturising, And Also Has A Cell Renewal Complex that will encourage new Healthy Skin Cells To Reproduce

    http://www.dermalogica.com/uk/products.h鈥?/a>

Lastly You Could use ' Barrier Repair ' Which Mainly works on the Barrier layer on your skin Repairing it and Keeping Moisture Locked In The Body.

Right Now You Probably have a Impaired Barrier Layer so Using Barrier Repair will Repair that layer Keeping Moisture locked in and keep your skin Looking Healthy, Its also Waterless so it wont freeze your skin which also has a aging effect.

What is the best creams to wear to protect my skin on the sunbeds..normal moisturiser?

i dont like using the tan excelerator creams.. so is there any oils or creams that are good to keep my skin healthy..What is the best creams to wear to protect my skin on the sunbeds..normal moisturiser?
There are none. The damage is being done by the UV radiation which penetrates the skin and causes damage.

In 10 years everyone will be able to tell that you use tanning beds because your skin is going to look like saddle leather. What is the best creams to wear to protect my skin on the sunbeds..normal moisturiser?
What's the point in going in a sunbed if you want to protect your skin? I mean really, the tanning lotions used for indoor tanning have NO SPF in them for that reason. Your skin needs to get damaged to get tan. That's like asking for a ';safer'; cigarette to smoke. No such thing. If you mean something to take care of your skin while you tan, then you want to buy a lotion containing moisturizers for the skin or an after sunbed lotion.
if you are sensible and do short bursts on the sunbed, you will not harm your skin. In fact, you are more likely to get skin cancer from burning as a child. I have been advised by my gp to use a sunbed for my skin condition and it has improved things. 3 minutes at a time (at the most) and no more than three times a week. This is better for your skin than two weeks in the sun trying to get a tan. There is a cream called brown envy and it is very moisturising and will not make your skin tingle. Make sure you go to a reputable salon.

If you are sensible and follow the rules, you will not harm your skin.

erm and the point in that is? if you go on a sunbed then you damage your skin? using cream will help but whats the point?

fake it! and you wont look a million years old and get cancer when you are older
if you really want to protect your skin don't use a sun bed they are really bad for you!! go to your beauty salon and get a spray on tan it can look really natural
    stay away from sunbeds.
surely you wouldn't be using a sunbed if you want to protect your skin?????

Has anyone used this RoC Mencode Anti Ageing moisturiser? Is it worth the money? Do anti-wrinkle creams work?

I'm 27, and I noticed that in the last year the amout of wrinkles on my face has risen significantly. So I'm looking for an anti-ageing, anti-wrinkle cream that is worth the money. I saw Mencode online for about 拢5 including P%26amp;P.Has anyone used this RoC Mencode Anti Ageing moisturiser? Is it worth the money? Do anti-wrinkle creams work?
If you are looking for home remedy to reduce wrinkles, try this.

Smear honey on your face and leave it for as long as possible (but 5-10mins a day will do). then rinse off with tepid water mixed with a teaspoon of cider vinegar - this has a neutral pH and will act as a toner.

And if you have some bucks, Lifecell anti wrinkle cream would be a good choice. You can have more information here.

Dry skin-how do you prevent it without using moisturiser or creams?

I put almond oil in my bath water now and again, I also add an essential oil to it, like lavender or geranium...........lovely

If you want a cheaper version, baby oil will work as well. It floats on the water and when you get out it will stick to your skin, and you can rub it in gently.

Another tip, my grand daughter suffers from eczema and an old remedy for soothing and is nice for the skin is (it's going to sound weird but it is great to do) take an old pop sock, place a couple of tablespoons of porridge oats in, tie a know and add the pouch to your bath water, it will create a milky liquid and your skin will feel great after you get out.

http://www.care2.com/greenliving/soothin鈥?/a>Dry skin-how do you prevent it without using moisturiser or creams?
Drinking alot of water, using face masks and eating lots of fruit.

    And moisturiser.

That should prevent dryness.Dry skin-how do you prevent it without using moisturiser or creams?
By keeping well hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Water is really good for the skin.
A moisturiser is your best bet.

Nivea for Men is a really good one.

You will age gracefully if you use that :-)
    You can't.
    Lotion?

That's really the only way to prevent it.
do not use harsh chemicals or soaps/shower gels that have a ph over 5.5

Is it bad to substitute daily morning moisturiser with fake tanning cream?

as in is it bad for my skin? i checked the back of my tanning cream and it doesnt say its non-comdegenic so maybe it does clog pores..? since they havent written that it doesnt..?Is it bad to substitute daily morning moisturiser with fake tanning cream?
Does it say it moisturizes? You are right that if it were non-comdegenic, they would have been proud and written it there. In my view, if your are really desperate and wanna go ahead with the tanning cream, you could use ur moisturiser at night before bed. I dont advise you using tanning cream insead of a proper regular moisturser though.

Should men put lotion/cream/moisturizers on their face?

I am a brown skinned indian guy and i use to put cocoa butter/ and or aveeno on my face like every night. I stopped for like a year and a half. I only put cocoa butter on my body, but should i be putting anything on my face? I mean when i use to put lotion on my face it would darken my complection when i would go out.Should men put lotion/cream/moisturizers on their face?
Cream on your face will not darken you complexion. Knowing what we do about sun damage, I would advise putting some form of sunblock on everyday. At least an spf 15. My husband does and he's desi as well. Not sure what the obsession with fairness is, I rather like them dark and handsome personally. :)Should men put lotion/cream/moisturizers on their face?
you should always moisturize your face, especially after shaving.

but, be careful which moisturizer youre using. such as if it has self tanners in it. and make sure you have something with an spf. wrinkles are no good.

    but then again,

    i prefer guys with wrinkles....
Sure, every one should, keeps pesky wrinkle away..
Only if you have dry skin.
Yes you should, esp if you are stepping into 40s. My husband also use it every morning, it keeps the wrikles away.
Well,my boify is into such stuff. If you're the type of person dat cares alot of your image, this might be a good thing. You shd try applying mosturisers instead of those natural ingredients self made because you might not know whether you are doing the right thing. If you are into natural stuff, then i suggest you go look for products that contain natural ingredient. If you wanna out,try not apply anything.I used to apply lotions and mosturiser before i go out,but then i realised that it will only darkens my skin and make my face oilier. So from then onwards,i would wash my face with facial form before leaving home. When i came back,i would again wash and then apply moisturizers befoe going to sleep.
i guess there's nothing wrong for men to put lotion/cream/moisturisers on their face, in fact you can find lots of health and grooming products and services for men on 88db, like the BIO-ESSENCE Radiant Youth Essence which is not only suitable for ladies but for men too
You should definitely apply moisturizers to your face. Afterall, you have skin just like women! Cocoa butter during the day acts like tanning oil which is why you get darker. I would suggest you use a face lotion with SPF during the day and cocoa butter at night.
I think most men just use a good after shave.
There are many men's products out there that will not turn your skin dark. Look in your local Supermarket, department store, discount stores, drug stores and ask a clerk for help.

And can I where those 3 item when I go to play in the water e.g. the beach, the lake etc....

I don't think there are facial makeup products that are waterproof. lol, maybe sweat proof? But not completely water proof.

What exactly is the difference between lotion, moisturizer, and skin cream??

And how often should I use what, when? What exactly is the difference between lotion, moisturizer, and skin cream??
A moisturize is another name for a lotion and cream. However they are basically the same thing with different names. A lotion is usually thinner and in a bottle. A cream moisturizer is usually in a jar and a bit thicker than the lotion. Use whichever suits your skin best. I have dry skin and usually go for a cream that is oil free. What exactly is the difference between lotion, moisturizer, and skin cream??
    well they are the same
they're all the same....and their purpose is the same...to mositurizer (hydrate) the skin..be careful of synthetic ones (found on most 'non' natural stores) that contain harmful ingredients that will just make you become dependant on them (.ie you will HAVE TO apply them all the time b/c your skin will become so dry without them) I recommend just using a natural body butter or oil (almond oil, coffee butter)use them during the day always (after you shower in the morning is best becuase your skin absorbs it better and ur skin will be softer) don't do it at night because your skin moisturizes and excretes oil and sweat when you are sleeping.
let me put it this way -

    1. a moisturizer can be in the form of lotion or cream;

    2. a lotion is less potent than a cream; but not all lotions are moisturizers, others are sunscreen, skin lightener or tanner, etc.

    3. cream is more potent than lotion, and like lotion, can be for other purposes than a moisturizer.

    Moisturiser and exfoliating cream?

when is the best time put them on?(does it matter?)how do i apply them?, how much do I put on?,how often?, and in what order?( im guy,if that matters!)Moisturiser and exfoliating cream?
Exfoliators should not be used that often -- not daily, anyhow. They are used to take off dead skin and built up residue of dirt and oils. Every 2-3 days, after your shower is good for that.

Moisturizers are for daily use, and it depends on whether you have extremely dry or oily skin. If you have very dry skin, it wouldn't hurt to use it twice, in the morning after you shave, and at night after you wash your face before bed.

A little bit on the tip of a finger, and rub gently around your face is all you need. More is NOT better! You only need a few drops of good moisturizer -- not a handful!

When you use both the exfoliator and the moisturizer, use the exfoliator first, rinse well, then moisturizer. (And good job for taking good care of your skin!!)Moisturiser and exfoliating cream?
Well an exfoliating cream, if it is an actual wash, I would use it about twice a week to wash my face and get a gentle cleanser such a Cetaphil for the remainder of the face washes. You should wash your face in the morning and before you go to bed. After you do this, apply the moisturizer both in the morning and at night. If you really want to improve the look of your skin, get a toner (tonic) and put that on between the wash and moisturizer, it will help clean and minimize your pores. Good Luck!
it is best to read the package's directions. I clean my face in the morning...it helps to wake me up and when I leave the house I look alive and fresh.

  • How moisturiser is different from cold cream?

lol..good question..im not sure..but what I've noticed...moisturizers tend to be absorbed by your skin faster, yet leaving your hands satisfied....and cold cream, tends to put on a layer and makes your skin somewhat oilier -- I guess thats how it gets you rid of that dry skin feeling. I prefer moisturizers though lol..How moisturiser is different from cold cream?
i think moisturizer will b absorbed soon than cold cream....cold creams r good for extreme dry skin or in very cold regions..How moisturiser is different from cold cream?
cold cream is a water in oil emulsion and moisturizer is a oil in water emulsion. The spreadability of moisturizer is fast when compared to a cold cream due to water base in it.

    Best Moisturiser/Face Cream?

Hello people! After endless searching and a few samples im at my wits end deciding on a good day and night moisturiser for my face. I am 22 years old, with combination skin, i have noticed a few white heads starting to appear around my jaw area and my skin is a little sensitive. I am british but live in a hot country in constant air conditioning. There are just so many brands out there I have no idea what to go for, I was recently thinking maybe i shuld just go for the most expensive as it must be good but ive realised this cant be the case! Please give me your opinions! I have no budget, i just want the right thing! :)Best Moisturiser/Face Cream?
i don't really use a face cream instead i use clinique almost makeup, its kinda like a tinted moisturizer it has spf 15 and it has a tad of color so you don't have to wear foundation, plus it doesn't feel cakey or oily, it runs about 25$Best Moisturiser/Face Cream?
i have the same issue. i love what i use. it's by Estee Lauder. it's called, Idealist. You won't want to use anything else. Only a small amt. is needed. The bottle looks small for the price, but it lasts a long time. Before that, I used A Perfect World antioxidant moisturizer with White Tea. I live in deep-south Texas-USA. Very humid most of the year. The Estee Lauder is the best. The Origins comes in second.
I would start by using Bump Fighter it has a cool refreshing tingle only a woman would love, and if that doesnt work use some of Dr. Dirty's throat lotion mixed with bump fighter, even if this doesnt work you might want to try watching two Tucson Swamp Donkeys mud wrestling on a Los Angelas turnpike but please whatever you do dont forget the Bump Fighter.
THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CHOICE. I've been using it for a year because I needed a lotion/cream... etc that didn't irritate my skin because I have a little bit of exzema (sry can't spell) . This cream helped a BUNCH! http://www.laroche-posay.com/index.aspx

It's just a little pricey and is made in France. I HIGHLY recommend it!!!!!!!!!!!

USE CLARINS white plus day moisturiser.

Its very good for skin, would protect from sun damage and also improve your skin complexion.

It is a bit expensive from regular moisturising, but worth the money as they are one of the best companies in the world, and use plant extraxts in all their products.

You can find Clarins in any departmental store like shoppers stop, lifestyle, central.
Creams that lighten the skin actually contain some pretty nasty chemicals. I would suggest just using a moisturizer with a SPF, which is not difficult to find.

Purpose lotion, Aveno, Olay Complete, all of these are non greasy and contain SPF.
i use nevea young be beautiful tinted moisturiser - i know it looks dark but if applied properly it looks really really good an it got spf and its non greasy
lotus sunblock with spf 40. it gives a matte effect
i suggest a cream called KC-lite which u can get in any pharmacy.

Do you apply eye cream on top of face moisturiser?

    Or what...

    LOL!!

    sorry for a stupid question.

and do you think eye cream is suitable for a teenager.Do you apply eye cream on top of face moisturiser?
Under, but actually, don't use your facial moisturizer around your eyes- it can irritate them. Use the eye cream AS your eye moisturizer, and no- you're never too young to start using any kind of moisturizer or eye cream. It will only benefit you in the long run (particularly if it has an SPF).Do you apply eye cream on top of face moisturiser?
Ok. First you dont apply face moisturizer to your eyes.

And moisturizer is a good idea for all ages, except bear in mind that as a teenager unless you have extremely dry skin use only a light moisturizer or one with a slight colour in it.

Eye cream is to be used very gently and sparingly, so dont glob it on because it will go into your eyes and that hurts. Generally you won't need eye cream until you are an adult because it is there to prevent wrinkles.

Right now you should be concerned with using a sunscreen to help prevent age spots later on from the tanning you might be getting while outdoors.

You can always use sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun instead of eye cream.

Maybe use the eye cream during winter months to prevent the dry icy weather from hurting your skin, but in the summer eye cream will just act as a catalyst for the sun and help the skin to burn. My best advice is sunglasses, not eyecream in the summer months.
No, you definitely should not apply eye cream on TOP of face moisturiser. You should apply it below moisturiser because that way, it'll have it's maximum effect. Moisturiser will simply dilute the potential that the eye cream holds, making it seem as if the eye cream is not working well.

Your question is a bit confusing, though. I hope you mean ';eye cream'; as in a sort of cream that keeps the area around your eyes looking good/bright.

If you mean ';eye cream'; as an eyeshadow, then you should apply that over moisturiser, as it will keep it on longer throughout the day.
I thought it was always under.

    If u see lines...yes.

Some young people spend time out in the sun via band or drill team etc and their skin can start wearing out.

If you have perfectly normal skin just using a moisturizer will do

Nive Sunkissed Self Tanning Moisturiser Cream?

Hello. Found some answers to old questions re this little diddy. I purchased a bottle of it today, along with a small one specifically for the face. It says it takes about 5 days to get to the colour... and I've only put it on VERY lightly cos I'm pale and dont want my first tanning experience to turn me into a carrot.

What I'd like to know is, after the 5 days and if by chance I see some colour, how regularly am I spose to use this? It doesn't really say on the bottle. I only ask because applying it constantly is gonna be a real pain the butt.. normal moisturiser you can lather on any old way and streaks dont matter! BUt a self tanning moisturiser... different story. And also the fact, it STINKS! OMG! When you first put it on it has this strange citrussy fragrance (I love the label on the bottle 'New Fragrance') but after wearing it on my skin all night, I smell like old socks! What is the go with that! (and no it ISNT my own personal smell, haha). Ew! So, after 5 days, can I put it on every 2-3rd day or something? Cos man, I dont want to wear this stuff and go out and have it seeping through my perfume! :D

Basically, after the initial 5 days of using it to develop the tan, how often do I have to top it up?Nive Sunkissed Self Tanning Moisturiser Cream?
i know what you mean that citrus smell..then like 3 hours later your reek.

Well, I lay out with SPF to get a little color then use that to keep it up. Just apply when you see the tan fading. try using two different products or a one time self tanner then the stinky stuff to maintain.

At the moment I use Biore anti-shine moisturiser but would like to try some others. My skin is quite combination. My forehead is usually quite a dry (and that's where my occassional blemishes appear) but at the same time can get a little oily sometimes, my nose is also quite dry, but the rest of my face is normal. My skin is very pale. What do you think would be the best moisturiser/cream for me? Preferably something cheap and I'd also prefer ones which aren't tested on animals if possible.

    Thanks for any help.

my skins also dry AND oily. its annoying (: haha. anyways i use lotion from bath and body works. its like $4 a bottle and if you use it every day it keeps your skin really nicee and soft (:
Lubriderm moisturiser. I use it and love it plus it has a sunscreen.
the body shop does great skin care and it's not that expensive i don't think

What are the benefits of using a night cream then just your normal every day moisturiser?

When you sleep your skin renews it self so if you have a special night cream it will help to smooth out your skin, even out skin tone and help with wrinkles. A normal every day moisturizer will not do this. What are the benefits of using a night cream then just your normal every day moisturiser?
    soft non-wrinkled skin :)

    Fluid or cream moisturiser products?

What's the difference between using a 'moisturising fluid' and 'moisturising cream'? Should they be chosen depending on one's skin type? Or does it depend on season/weather?Fluid or cream moisturiser products?
the moisturizing fluid is like a lotion more lightweight oil free great for oily to normal skin use this on summer days.

the moisturizing cream is good for very dry skin is thick richer to replenish dry skin making more soft dewy this is good to use on winter.

example is the oil olay moisturizing fluid .

    You are correct.

Use a moisturizer first, then a spot cream.Face moisturiser then spot cream, or spot cream then face moisturiser?
If you can't do spot cream at night and moisturizer in the morning, put on spot cream first. Let it sink in for a while (3-5 minutes), then apply a thin layer of moisturizer.
    Moisturiser first! check out this

i never moisturise at night because it makes me break out loads, so spot cream at night then some moisturiser under your make up in the morning. makes the make up go on better too
I agree with what Me said. Spot Cream would probably be more affective underneath the moisturiser!

    Hope this helps!
Spotcream at night, moisturizer in the morning.

Which is the best skin lightening cream with sun protection and moisturiser?

i live in bombay and would like to know which product is good for meWhich is the best skin lightening cream with sun protection and moisturiser?
The very best to me is the Obagi-C Clarifying Serum. It has 4% RX strength hydroquinone (lightener) and 10% vitamin C (makes skin SOOOO smooth)! This is RX strength so you have to get it from a dermatologist, esthetician, or you can also get it from eBay or somewhere else on the net. It's about $80 but you can get it online for around $60. It's well worth it. A little goes a long way %26amp; I have one bottle well over a year %26amp; a half!

The serum is ONLY to lighten the skin. You need to use a separate sunscreen (of at least SPF 30) when going outside. Obagi also sells this or you can get one over the counter.

I think you should use a separate moisturizer formulated for your skin %26amp; not something combined (from experience).

    1. Apply lightener

    2. Apply moisturizer

    3. Apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before going outWhich is the best skin lightening cream with sun protection and moisturiser?
The best to telll u da truth itz malederm here is da website for it

    http://www.civantskincare.com/feedback.html Report Abuse

The best skin lightening cream is a night cream, because the active ingredient (hydroquinone) breaks down in sunlight. My favorite formula is the liquid product made by Philosophy, which is called ';a pigment of your imagination.'; It's quite concentrated and you don't have to put much on (at bedtime). See a big difference in 2-3 weeks.

They make day creams with sun protection and moisturizer, but I don't really believe they lighten skin significantly - I bet it'd take months, or years to see a difference. They use ingredients other than hydroquinone which are less effective. Sorry I don't really know of a ';best'; one. I've been using the Neutrogena ';Visibly Even'; cream, which is a tad greasy going on but is satisfactory, especially since it's fairly cheap.

  • Is it essential that i wear a night cream b4 bed? cos i use a good cream moisturiser in the day!?

Actually it is pretty much a necessity to use a cream during the day with an SPF of some sort. And using a cream at night because at night your skin is drinking in the most moisture and trying to repair the damage you have gotten throughout the day. Whether it be from free radical or what not. So by putting on a moisturizer at night your are feeding your skin so that it will continue to do this process with good strenght. It will also help with the aging process. And your skin will still have a beautiful youthful glow and a radiance about it. You don't have to go spend tons of money on a good moisturizer either, that is just a personal preference. You can find plenty of good day and night time moiturizers at Target or Wal-Mart. I myself do prefer Lancome or Clinique moisturizers and that is what I recommend to all my clients. Hope this helps.

A good night cream before going to bed, and after a thorough cleansing of your face, can help your skin regenerate during the night. It will prevent wrinkles from appearing and possibly cure any light wrinkles that had made their appearance already. It doesn鈥檛 matter how young you might be at the time. If you are an adult (18 or over) you should start thinking of skin care as a long term investment. The good things you do now for your skin will pay off in the future. Believe me, it鈥檚 great not to show your age when you鈥檒l be something like 40!Is it essential that i wear a night cream b4 bed? cos i use a good cream moisturiser in the day!?
It's not necessary, but you can put it on if you like to.
It isnt essential, but for best skin care then i would recommend it, yeah. :)x

    No.

    i like jergens shea butter

clinique dramatically different gel (for face)

johnson %26amp; johnson 24 hour moisturizer

    vaseline moisturizer (not the petroleum)

those are, like the only ones i've used

in a while, my favorites are clinique and johnson

    %26amp; johnson, though.

i've never tried an eye cream or an anti-aging

product, and the best pimple treatment is toothpaste

    or clearasil vanishing acne cream.

Why when using moisturiser creams does my eyes always end up puffy and tired looking the next day?

Do you think the one im currently using is too strong (which is boots beauty serum)? or am i putting it too close to my eyes? Also what ons would you recommend?

ThanksWhy when using moisturiser creams does my eyes always end up puffy and tired looking the next day?
Puffy eyes is a variety in which the eyes begins to swell due to certain reasons.May be in ur case it is due to using moisturizer Instead of using moisturizer u can go for some eye cream. bcoz skin under our eyes are very sensitive and need special and effective care so i recommended you to go for Eyelastin cream it is so effective.

hope this will work for u.Why when using moisturiser creams does my eyes always end up puffy and tired looking the next day?
its probably not the right one for your skin, try using a milder one

make sure whatever you're using is specially made for the eye area, because that area has very sensitive skin
Never use a facial moisturiser around your eyes. You must use an eye cream specifically for this area. Your eye skin is 6 times thinner than your face so face cream/serum is just too heavy, hence the puffiness.

You are lucky that you have only got puffiness, this will go away when you stop using the serum, you could have ended up with 'milia' which are tiny bumps under the skin and hard like rice grains - this is due to a heavy cream getting trapped under the skin and hardening, they are difficult to remove!
First off eyes are very sensitive. Something too heavy, too acidly (which often is the high perfume percentage of a cream) will make them water, get puffy or reddish. Secondly avoid the eye area and use some eye cream tested for allergy free substances. .

Good luck ... and spread carefully ;)
    Jizer,

Use creams made specifically for the eye area. I use and recommend Extreme Eye Rescue.

    http://www.isabellapelle.com/eyewrinklec鈥?/a>

hope this helps you as it did for me.
Make sure when putting on moisturiser you don't get it in your tear ducts! It can block them and leave your eyes very very puffy (it happened to my mum)! I say either choose a less strong one or keep it well away from eyes :)
Boots beauty serum is quite rich so I expect it's just too heavy for the skin around your eyes. I would buy an eye cream instead. Boots do lots of good ones. I like the Time Delay one and it's not too expensive.
This condition of yours is because moisturizers are not meant to get rid from puffy eyes, for that you have to use special eye cream like eyelastin,
Don't put it near your eyes. Buy an eye cream.

Can we not make a single paste which can serve as toothpaste, saving cream, moisturiser, bath soap & shampoo?

It will take some time, because scientists are researching first on a Food which can give us all nutrients. Then they will think of pastesCan we not make a single paste which can serve as toothpaste, saving cream, moisturiser, bath soap %26amp; shampoo?
They are not very different in any case - with a basic surfactant. If is possible - but, the companies which sell them want them segented in order to make more moneyCan we not make a single paste which can serve as toothpaste, saving cream, moisturiser, bath soap %26amp; shampoo?
Not sure I would want flouride and baking soda on my skin or sparkles on my teeth.
idk but we should. i mean if they can come up with all these technoligical advances u think tht they could come up with this!!!!
Basically yes, if you are planing to spend a vacation on a deserted island it is a good idea. If not, hair and teeth differ in structure, and it might work only for very young people, or with a few lucky one with no skin and hair problems. Just for your use only: 200 years ago people washed themselves and their clothes on a similar principle with wood ashes soaked in a creek water. It is not just for the sake of earning money there are so many different products, trust me.

Is Aqueous Cream better than E45 as an all over moisturiser?

The doctor said I should mix glycerin and E45 but already have some aqueous cream. Any advice would be great. ThanksIs Aqueous Cream better than E45 as an all over moisturiser?
I suffer from psoriasis and find it better(Aqueous) as it rubs in faster and feels better. Glycerin and E45 result in aqueous cream. Is Aqueous Cream better than E45 as an all over moisturiser?
    aqueous cream
do you actually have a skin complaint or is it just a bit dry?

aqueous is used for eczema and psoriasis etc as its a bit more heavy duty.

you might find if your skin is dry that oilatum is good, you put it in the bath to soften and sooth the skin. its a light parafin wax based substance i believe, i use it on my daughter.
water and no more of that old muck in a pot, youll get spots and stuff then they sell you somthing to treat them and that will make your face sore so they will sell you somthing for that etc etc
Aqueous, because I find I am allergic to E45, and so are some other people I know.
ive used aqueous cream and its brilliant, far better than e45.
    LARD - that's far better

What is the difference between a cream and a lotion moisturiser?

Texture: creams are thicker while lotions are runnier

Benefit: this depends on type of skin. There seems to be a misconception that if it's thicker it it more moisturizing. Not so. Since a lotion is more viscous it penetrates better and deeper into your skin.

I think you have the two types because some prefer if it feels richer while other people like it if it spreads easier and isn't too thick. What is the difference between a cream and a lotion moisturiser?
cream is thickerWhat is the difference between a cream and a lotion moisturiser?
creams are usually a litle thicker
A cream is a little thicker and heavier than a lotion.
a cream is much heavier than a lotion and should be used only at night time. if used before make up application, my make up may appear uneven.
Creams are generally thicker so they give more moisture to your skin than a lotion.

If you want a stronger whitener with higher levels of hydroquinone you will have to get it from a dermatologist just be careful and follow the recommendations in using it. The way moisturizer is meant to be used is on wet skin, so when you wash your face only dab your face with a towel to remove some of the water, you want your face to still be moist when you apply the moisturizer. You can use it every time you wash your face. The same applies for body lotion. How can i use moisturiser cream and when?

Can i use any moisturiser / cream during my pregnancy? does it affect my baby?

Sure, it's recommended to use coco butter lotion for the prevention of stretch marks. I used moisturizers throughout both my pregnanciesCan i use any moisturiser / cream during my pregnancy? does it affect my baby?
    Moisturisers,creams would not affect U R baby.
yes you can, no it will not affect your baby
Moisturizers, creams, even perfumes and deodorants are safe if used as directed. Please realize that I am talking about your normal, over the counter, everyday lotions, etc., not anything with hormones or excessive alcohols, or WEIRD stuff in it. JUST NORMAL STUFF, AND USED AS DIRECTED. If in doubt, check with your OB/GYN.
use by all means. will not affect the lil one
No problem with using creams the more natural i.e cocco butter the better...you shouldn't however have your hair dyed or bleached apparently this will enter the blood stream and they advise against it. You will probably find that you don't like the strong smell of perfume during your pregnancy, and if you're thinking of going into the sun you run the risk of brown staining which is relatively permanent on your skin. It's a hormonal reaction to the components of cosmetics.
you can use it because it is safe
It's safe to use moisturizers during pregnancy. I've only heard about deodorants possibly being unsafe.

Which moisturiser cream is the best to use for a lady in her early 40s?

Do some web searches ';Skin care products, moisturizer creams harmful'; and you will see countless ones are skin harming and skin aging. Some have`been pulled from market because of acne and cancer causing scares.

It is far safer and much less costly to use essential oils which are perfect moisturizers and only beneficial to skin.

Olive, almond, jojoba, are all excellent for moisturizing. Many oils are best diluted 50/50 with a thinner, milder essential oil like grape seed. They feed skin essential nutrients and will quickly give you a healthy, glowing, revitalized skin. Also greatly combats aging and will help prevent or diminish lines and wrinkles. You do not remove - most gets absorbed into skin - simply remove excess by splashing face with water and dab dry with tissues.

See my many other answers giving more detailed information - some with feedback from users who have also had equally great results. Shop around for best prices. Can be bought at Whole Foods, GNC ,Trader Joe's, some Walmart Stores, Cost Plus, Wegmans, Earth Fare, some natural %26amp; health foods stores. Olive and grape seed oil can be bought in bigger supermarkets

    I found guinot the best
well it depends on what type of skin you have really

    dry / oily / combination / sensitive

and then use the one that suits your skin
For my face, I just got a new one that I love. It's Ponds dry skin cream.
try to know your skin type and go for the apropriate one. go for the quality based on the price.
Depends on if you have oily, dry or combo skin. But, Mary Kay has a large line of moisturizers that are great for your skin and are Anti-Aging as well. I would start there, because it you buy one you don't like, you will be able to exchange it and try another one.
Try NIVEA MOISTURIZING CREAM for intensive moisturizing.

Also try St. Ives Oil Free Moisturizer if you don't like the feel of grease on your face. It's very light.

Or you can look for Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. It's great for sensitive skin, not so greasy too.
GNC Vitamins E, A, %26amp; D Moisturizing Cream. $1.99 at GNC stores. It's so lightweight and makes your face all smooth. I used to use Oil of Olay day cream but it was too heavy to wear under makeup. You cant beat 2 bucks either.
if you are not looking for anti-wrinkle effects, then according to me, nivea cream is the bestttttttttttttttttttt.................鈥?been using it like for some 6 years n my skin is baby soft in the morning...........i apply daily at night and my skin glows in the morning............
the surveys say any moisterizer is as good as the next...they say the cheaper ones work just like the pricey ones...as long as you use them.....they won't help if you don't use them
first i have been washing my face with noxzema for 25 years...nobody believes i am 41....then i apply aveeno---i swear by it
First of all - anything you can buy in a grocery store IS NO GOOD! Its cheap %26amp; readily available for a reason!!!! These cheap brands contain so much alcohol %26amp; Urea (horse urine) and are extremely drying. They make your skin feel soft but then an hour or so later its dry %26amp; you feel like you need to reapply - they do this so you use more %26amp; therefore buy more. Do not buy any skin products from a grocery store!

Go %26amp; treat yourself to a facial, your therapist will give you a skin diagnosis as to what skin type you are. You cant just go and buy a moistriser, you need to see what your skin needs.

I know it seems like an effort %26amp; it will cost money, but your skin will thank you when you are 40 and look like your 30 with beautiful, healthy skin!

    :O)

P.S: make sure you wear sunscreen everyday too!
I always use vaseline intensive care, they come in different types depending on your skin type, but they arent too expensive and always leave my skin nice and soft plus they are suitable to use every day on both body and face.

The skin around the eyes is very delicate and often ';normal'; moisturisers are too heavy and can leave the skin puffy. i always advise people to spend as much as they can comfortably afford on eye creams/gels, but if you are after a ';high street'; brand then Garnier and the Body Shop are my recommendations! Is it alright to use aqueous cream as an all over body moisturiser including around the eyes?
I have never heard of this moisturiser before, however i wouldn't advice anything not particularly for around the eyes on that area especially if you are 27 (This is the time you would need to think about taking care of that area for future ageing)

I would advice a decent eye cream, if you are looking for something that is not too expensive then your local boots/superdrug store will sell inexpensive eye creams.

Or if you are looking for something that you are willing to pay a little bit more money for, then i would advice going to your local Christian Dior/Est茅e Lauder counter where there the assistant can advice you on which eye cream is better for your needs/skin type
aqueous cream is amazing! use it everywhere!!! its totally fragrance free so it shouldnt irritate your skin. but due to your age i would start using an eye cream and a night cream for preventative measures, you should look young and beautiful for longer then!
Aqueous cream makes a pretty fanyastic moisturiser when added to your bath water! but thts abt it, it jus seals in moisture, no special magical ingredients, so yeah its fine around the eyes (my son used it for his eczema which he had on his eyelids)xmwax!!!

Can you get away with using regular moisturiser as eye cream? ?

I can't afford to get some eye cream, so can I just use my day/night cream on my eyes? Can you get away with using regular moisturiser as eye cream? ?
Yes, but don't get it too close to the actual eye. Even eye cream is meant to be used by patting it on the orbital bone (the round bone around the eye). Eye creams are generally more moisturizing for the delicate, thin skin around the eye, and may not contain as many harsh ingredients that are not good for the eyeball if they get in it.Can you get away with using regular moisturiser as eye cream? ?
Yes, you'll be fine. I used to get special eye cream and it did nothing at all. Normal cream was by far more effective.

I've heard there's a cream/moisturiser you can use to prevent stretch marks in pregnancy. What is it called?

It is called bio-oil and you can get it from Lloyds PharmacyI've heard there's a cream/moisturiser you can use to prevent stretch marks in pregnancy. What is it called?
just keep your belly well moisturised, if you can get your partner to do it as it is relaxing. but it dont matter what you do some peoples skin is stretchier than others so not everyone gets them.I've heard there's a cream/moisturiser you can use to prevent stretch marks in pregnancy. What is it called?
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I matters what kind of skin u have . I used all that stuff and guess what IT DID NOT WORK!
Stretch marks are genetic, all you can do is use something to keep your skin moisturised so it stretches well. I used the cocoa butter stick from the Body Shop; it's gorgeous, smells like white chocolate. My husband rubbed it in every night, which was nice for both (all?) of us. I had twins, and I didn't get stretch marks, but as I said, it's just the luck of my genes!
    Dont know.

But loads swear by Bio Oil.
i tried all sorts, if your gonna get them you'll get them, nothing worked for me
    Bio-oil.

it worked for my mother in-law
There are several ointments you can use to try and prevent getting stretchmarks during pregnancy. However, the tendancy to get stretchmarks is actually a hereditary trait. If you got stretchmarks growing up, you will most likely get them when you are pregnant no matter what you do. Lotions and such can minimize the damage though.

Shea butter works well, and any lotion that keeps the skin moist will do.
My Girlfriend used extra virgin olive oil and hasnt didnt have a stretch mark in site
I think it MUST depend on what kind of skin you have. I never really thought about whether my skin was stretchy or not, but i rubbed in cream right from the time i knew i was pregnant, in both my pregnancies, and i was lucky, i have only got two of the tiniest little marks, while some people their tummy is so bad it looks like they've been in a fire!

In my first pregnancy i used a cream i made up myself - i had a book about blending creams, but the second one i just bought something. I reckon more or less anything will do, but probably if its got vitamin e in it the better. Also, EAT WELL - nuts, avocados, fruit, oily fish (i think you have to check how much of that you can eat in pregnancy).

I'm afraid you have to accept that your body changes in pregnancy and is changed thereafter. I have got stretch marks on my boobs, but not too bad there either.

Don't put on a lot of weight. Pregnancy is not an excuse to over-eat and eat junk!

    Good luck!

Bio oil, it get's rid of scars too!
I used Bio oil and it's fantastic. You need to use it twice a day all over your bump and hips though. I ran out and kept forgetting to get some more and I now have some marks but friends who have used it religiously had no marks at all. It smells gorgeous as well. It's also really good for your face. My skin hasn't felt so smooth for years.

Bio - Oil - My wife used it after the birth of our third child and it really helped.

Check out http://www.bio-oil.info/en/home. There are a number of clinical trails and acknowledgements from scientists that it really works - Its not cheap though - about £15.00 per 100ml.

Are you in UK or USA? - It doesn't look like it is available from stores in USA so you would have to order by mail order. - On the Bio Oil website there is a complete list of global availability

    Hope this helps
Palmers coco butter is a good one and is designed for pregnancy stretch marks.

I put on 20 kilos and used a base oil like sweet almond oil with some safe essential oils and I didn't get one stretch mark and I was huge.

But everyone is different but it doesn't hurt to try something safe.

The oil I used was from a shop called ';The Perfect Potion'; in Australia
I don't know why so many people think you can rub a cream on the outermost layer of skin to prevent the innermost layers from becoming pulled to cause stretch marks. There is NOTHING in this world to rub in that will prevent you from getting this: it has everything to do with genetics (and maybe a little bit of luck!).

Go ahead: look it up! There's nothing that will stop you getting them if you are prone to them. Look at your body: do you have stretch marks already (from growth spurts)? If not, then you may not get them...did your mom and grandma get them during pregnancy? No? Then you may not get them either...but if you have any or if your mom and grandmother have them, then chances are very good that you'll end up with them as well.

Smaller women tend to get less, because their skin has plenty of growing room left compared to a heavier woman, but that weight alone won't prevent them.
Try using Bio-oil. It prevents strecthc mark and dramaticly reudces the redness within them. Available at boots stores.
Ok - I have been told by a couple of pregnant friends that Olive oil works very well - but you have to use it really regularly - and keep it up after the birth. Good luck!!

Stretchmark Corrector....anti-stretchmark + firming cream, it is dermatologically tested and contains Prolasium + X-Tensyl

    vitamin e oil
The secret is.....Don't gain more than 35 lbs. Your blood volume doubles and the body gains excess fluids through out the body(10) The breast enlarges (10) Amniotic fluid (5) baby (6-8) placenta (3). You are not eating for two. Get a good maternity girdle. They are wonderful. It's like two hands holding the belly up and away from your bladder and ligaments that go to the lower back and thighs. And lubricate, lubricate, lubricate. Use vitamin E capsules, in any cream or oil you have. Hope that helps.
the ones that work are the butter creams. I use belly butter... it looks like a deorderant stick... all natual
I used several different ones including Avent, Bio-oil and cocoa butter. None worked for me and I didn't gain that much weight.
I used everything from Vaseline, to cocoa butter to vitamin e creams and they all worked a treat ..... until the NINTH month!! then...... STRETCH Marks!!!!

Don't worry everything is worth it for your darling baby!

    Good luck
Prevent ? oh no child you have much to learn. You can buy a number of things to reduce them but not prevent them. This is the start of a new journey for you obviously. You can prevent pregnancy but all the ';good stuff'; of motherhood is pretty much on a damage control level. One thing to not forget to do is kegal exercises, if you don't you may be changing your pants as often as your new baby's.
i heard that Bio oil is good but it's expensive. I rubbed cream in every day from 6 weeks but i still got some. you can probably limit them by using these creams but probably not prevent them. My friend says baby lotion is just as good as any other cream and she didn't get any but then everyone has different skin to start with. ...i'm rambling now..... On a personal note - i have grown to love mine.
I USED A PRODUCT CALLED BIO-OIL. ITS QUITE EXPENSE ( ABOUT £9 FOR 60MLS) BUT IT IS FANTASTIC, I CARRIED ON USING IT EVEN AFTER I WAS SO IMPRESSED! ALTHOUGH ITS A OILS ITS NOT GREASY AT ALL, WEIRD HEY? APPARANTLY ITS CONTAINS PURCELLIN OIL.....

    THEY HAVE A WEBSITE, WWW.BIO-OIL.INFO.
Sorry luv, if your going to get them you will. Try not to gain too much weight and massaging any good skin treatment on will be pleasant especially if you do it together. Strech marks though are normally your skin type dependant.
Bio-oil if fantastic for b4 and after. Buy it on eBay, its much cheaper
Vitamin E, cocoa butter, shea butter or a combination. Use it often, most people don't use something enough and then complain that it didn't work. By often I mean more then 5 times a day. Every woman I know who avoided stretch marks carried their jar of stuff everywhere and it was always putting it on.
Palmers Cocoa Butter cream for stretch marks... it doesn't work though. I used it, and I got stretch marks. If you're going to get them, you will no matter what you do.

personally i use diprobase , it is from a chemist so i'm not sure if you can just buy it willy nilly. but it works wonders for me, really hydrates and moisturises well. if i dont use this i use skin wisdom mousturiser and this works well to, available from tesco supermarket.

The best cosmetics line is Arbonne. It's really amazing! It not only keeps you young, but it also reverses the signs of aging. I had some fine lines under my eyes, between the brows and my laugh lines and within a month they all completely disappeared. I'm 30 and my skin looks like i'm freakin 10! I got hooked on this stuff cuz of my ex girlfriend. She was using it and then i started using it too. I love it! It's pricey though, that's the only drawback. But then again you don't have to buy all their stuff. Just buy the peel and the eye cream.
You might wanna look into Aveeno's positively radiant daily moisturizer. It has SPF 30. I looked on youtube and people are giving this products some pretty good reviews. Here is the link^^

It depends on your skin type. Is your skin normal, dry, oily or combination? Many moisturizers are formulated according to your skin type, so it would help to know that before I made a recommendation.
I use Clinique. Yes, it's a little pricey, but it lasts so long and it is really great on my skin.
    i like nivea

Is it ok to use E45 cream as a daily moisturiser?

I have very dry skin under my eyes which becomes very red and sore. I have been using E45 cream for about a week and the redness has gone. As it is quite a light cream, can it be used as a daily moisturiser? Is it ok to use E45 cream as a daily moisturiser?
    Robin,

The basic answer is yes. It may be of interest to learn that you do not have to invest in an expensive moisturiser. Any moisturiser should serve your purpose provided you have no allergies to the contents. As long as your dry skin is moisturised your skin will be fine. People with severe dry skin are often advised to obtain an inexpensive moisturiser and use it on the whole body as often as they find that it is necessary during the day.

    What's d difference between a cold cream n a regular moisturiser?

i have dry skin n always use a moisturiser even in winter but still my skin is worse during winters. does using a cold cream help? what's actually d difference between them?

Is GARNIER Cold Cream good? What's d difference between a cold cream n a regular moisturiser?
as per my experience cold cream makes ur skin more oily, where as a gud moisturizer really helps during winters....well am here in US so i use moisturizer during winter and snow falls. What's d difference between a cold cream n a regular moisturiser?
Cold cream contains more oily than moisturiser.cold cream is best.it help to prevent from crackes in lips, hands and legs in winter season
See cold cream will help you in the winter season, and moisturiser is cream which will keep you skin wet and warm in all seasons but to use cole=d cream is better in this season.
Cold cream is not cold and moisturiser does not contain moisture.

Is it ok to use Lush Dream Cream as a facial moisturiser?

I love this stuff, but wondered if it is too rich for the skin on your face? Does anyone else use this on their face?

Is it ok to use Lush Dream Cream as a facial moisturiser?
it's ok to use ocassionally if you have very dry skin on your face, i use it cos i used to have eczema and now it's gone!

you wont have to worry about it being harsh at all cos ALL the lovely lushie products are natural and organic!

awesome, hope this helps you!Is it ok to use Lush Dream Cream as a facial moisturiser?
Actually the dream cream was good on my face.my facial skin is oily. So I used quite a little bit of the cream and it simply made the skin smooth over night. Report Abuse

It really depends on your face. If you have sensitive or oily skin, I wouldn't do it. But if your skin is naturally dry or not sensitive, it wouldn't hurt to try. Personally, I don't use anything that isn't meant for the face on my face, mainly because I can't risk breaking out.

Your best bet is to either get their facial cream, or use it in moderation.
It's more for use from the neck down but if you've got very dry skin on your face it will be fine to use it, my face skin is quite oily so it's no good on my face it would be too greasy!
Lsuh body creams are prety much the same as their face creams so why not just try it. Use a tiny amount and avoid the eyes.
There is actually some Lush Face Masks and also some Lush Moisturizers which I am sure, can be applied on face. But I am not so sure about the Lush Dream Cream...
probably, if it makes your skin greasy or dry then stop using it

What Kind of Moisturiser and night cream should i use?.?

    Hi,

Mine is a combinatin skin. Oily in the T Zone( nose and the forehead). Tried using an oil free moisturiser. But when i use it, my face looks greasy and dull (even when it is for oil free). the climate of the place where i stay is humid.

I need your help in picking up a good mosituriser and night cream for my skin. That will not make my skin oily nor will it clog my pores.

Also kindly let me know the basic beauty rotine that needs to be followed every day (both during the day and night) to make my skin look healthier and young.

';If your skin is the combination type it requires a little exra care, since you have two skin types on one face. What is good for onearea is wrong for the other!Basically you must use dry-skin treatment on the sides of the face, cheeks, eye area, throat-andthe oily skin treatment on the chin, nose, inner cheeks, and cener forehead.

In the morning...Cleanse thorougly if your under twenty five and dryness is not too acute, mild soap and water is permissable.Otherwise use a cleansing creme andfollow with skin freshener

saturate a cotton pad with an astringent pore lotion designed to correct oiliness and press this on the chin, nose, inner cheeks center forehead-wherever the unwanted ';greasy'; look usually appears.

smooth moisturizing emulsion over the dtry areas of the face, sides of face, eye area ,throat.

If oiliness in the center panel of the face is excessive, apply on this area under-makeup oily-skin treatment to act as a 'face blotter'between your skin and makeup, for a longer lasting ';no-shine'; look.always avoid using a lubricant on oily areas.

    midday..

Repeat the morning treatmnent, or if time does not allow ';quick cleanse'; with cotton pad saturated with skin freshener.Go over the oily areas with a astringent normalizing lotion.Reapply moisturizer on dry areas.

    nightime...

Cleanse thoroughly with cleansing creme or lotion, to remove all makeup, soil, pollution, and excess oil.Repeat- or, if you are under twenty-five, follow witha mils soap-and-water wash.

Freshen and tone with skin freshener applied with cotton pad press astringent pore lotion on oil areas.

Smooth emollient creme on the cheeks, upper lips sides of face, throat.Apply eye creme around the eyes with gentle finger patting motions. This is were you will first see signs of dryness, little crinkles that will change there name to wrinkles if you don't fend them off early. If your very young moisturizing emulsion may serve your dry-skin needs.Once you're beyond thedebutante stage however, give the dry areas the more

    intensive care of specialized products.

    Twice weekly..

After evening cleansing (and before freshening) wash away excess oiliness and help unclog pores with a friction-wash.First, moisten handas and face withwarm water.Shake some ofthe cleansing granules into the palm of the hand.Work them up into a lather and apply to the oily area only, massaging arounf the nose, inner cheeks, chin, center forehead for a minute or so.Rinse off thoroughly,Immediately apply emollient creme to dry areas.

    Often combination skin is a skin that is '; going places'; on the way to being more oily or moredry.With your consistent daily care, sound health habits, and meticulous hygiene it should arrive rather promptly at the right destination -normal and nice.';

I am male early 50s should I use face moisturiser cream ot is it 1. Too Late or 2. A load of tosh.?

I would like to get rid of bags under the eyes and also look after my face skin , but at my age I don't know If it is too late to bother

Any one who has tips or has used any products I would be glad of their adviceI am male early 50s should I use face moisturiser cream ot is it 1. Too Late or 2. A load of tosh.?
I think it's great that you're putting the effort into using mosturiser!

Stick with what you're doing I say, it's giving your skin great moisture and will help.

If you're concerned about bags under the eye area, Clinique All About Eyes product is specifically designed for this, so maybe that can help you.

Well done, and good luck! :)I am male early 50s should I use face moisturiser cream ot is it 1. Too Late or 2. A load of tosh.?
Its not too late. Aged skin is mostly dehydrated to adding moisture will help. Also aging has a lot to do with sun damage. Not just hot sun but everyday rays (yes even in the uk). So get a cream with an spf of at lest 15 in it. Then if your gonna get serious with creams you can get ones that allow the skin to heal a little like olay or N07
Not too late! Try cold cream every night - it won't cure every ill but it is a good cleanser and moisturiser and will rehydrate most skins.

Other preparations are available = many deal with particular skin issues - but this one seems to be generally all around good for you!
No, I don't think it's too late at all. I think it would be a good idea as it would keep you looking younger,

As for products, I think nivea have a male skincare range and so do vaseline,

    Good Luck
Slap a good cream on it might make you feel years younger.
It's never too late. My ex used neutrogena for men, worked really well on him.

Yes it is as fake tan dries out your skin. You would be much safer either putting your tan on last thing at night after your beauty regime or put your moisturiser on in the morning first let it sink in then put your tan on, Fake Tan can clog pores also.

Hope this helpsIs it bad to substitute daily morning moisturiser with fake tanning cream?
you should always moisturise before you put on the fake tan, otherwise, it could go patchy. if it's self developing tan, you could just out it on and cleanse your skin once it has dried in if you're worried about blocking your pores. if it's instant tan, it might block them so be sure to wash off properly at the end of the day.
Yes, it may not clog pores, but tanning creme contributes more damge from the sun, tanning makes u darker duh.. lol so the creme is just hurting ur skin more. Moisterizer heals and protects ur skin from the sun. Go with a good moisterizer. Like nuetrigena or clean and clear products. Hope i helped hun^.^
yes, it will damage your skin, your body needs to have a certain amount of sunlight on the daily basis, not a substitute
It is not good for your skin... aviod it

    91% coconut kernel

    Water

    Xanthan Gum (415)

    Emulsifier (473)

ThanksIs it okay to use canned coconut cream as a moisturiser?
id stick with an extra virgin coconut oil

its a great leave on moisturizer

as well as a great makeup removerIs it okay to use canned coconut cream as a moisturiser?
Is it okay? Since it's safe to consume, I'd assume putting it on your skin is not going to kill you.

I'd use it like a mask for moisturizing, and not leave it on for extended periods of time. It might clog pores, and give you pimples. Not to mention that it wouldn't smell so good after being on for a while, might get rancid...

Before applying sunscreen is it necesaary to apply face cream or any moisturiser?

It doesn't matter what skin type you are(dry, combination or oily), you suppose to use a moisturizer on your face all the time. For day to day you can use a custom fit moisturizer with SPF in it. Even if it's cloudy you still have to protect your skin. The UVA rays(UVB and UVA) damage your skin anyway.(Suggested product- Superdefence SPF 25- Clinique, affordable great moisturizer comes in 3 different textures for each skin type). But if you spend lots of time outside or if you lay on the beach you need to use a higher SPF on top of your moisturizer. Before applying sunscreen is it necesaary to apply face cream or any moisturiser?
It's not necessary but make sure the sunscreen is meant for the face if you have sensitive skin or if you have skin that is prone to breakouts. Also oily skin might break out if you use oil based sunscreens.

If you use a mineral sunscreen you should apply moisturizer first though. Before applying sunscreen is it necesaary to apply face cream or any moisturiser?
Well yes, it's pretty much a good idea to always moisturize.

I suggest looking for a moisturizer with SPF in it. I suggest trying out the Olay Complete with SPF 15 for Sensitive Skin (the one in the bottle). It was a little too thick for my oilier skin, but if you have normal to dry skin, I think it might work well :)

I suggest looking online for reviews on facial moisturizers and sunscreens, and picking out ones that you think are the best candidates for your skin, since no one knows your skin other than you.

  • What moisturiser cream can i use if never used one before?

Start with the simple range, they have a light moisturiser (if you havent needed to use one before, you probably dont have naturally dry skin so there is no need for something rich). There is no perfume in it so it will be better for your skin too.

:o)What moisturiser cream can i use if never used one before?
try something really weak like e45 cream for eczema, it helps dry skin, or johnsons baby moisturiserWhat moisturiser cream can i use if never used one before?

Softens Skin Out A Treat x
olive oil+yoghort+ egg yolk applied on skin works as an excellent moisturiser.
It depends on how old, female or male .But first time use moisturizer you have to choose somethings that are gentle, And use step by step(If use the whole set)
i love to use any Aveeno products... they are natural so they contain things like oatmeal and soy...and most are fragrance free...another great thing is that they have several different products to choose from... they have face products to reduce redness etc... if you just want a body moisturizer they have that too... and it is conveniently found practically everywhere... at target, grocery stores, etc....
im allergic to pretty much any cream but i found and love nivia in either the blue or white tub! the blue one is thicker and the white one isnt!! i prefer the white one! the link of what it looks like is below!

    xxxx
the vaseline intensive care mousturizer is really good
Neutrogena, having tried many others have found this to be the best.
    try dove
I get dry skin in winter and use the Sainsburies basics range hand cream. Cheap and does the job. Start with the store own brands for economy sake, if you find you have an allergy then switch.

An assistant in a chemists should be able to advise. I understand some mags also do 'best buys' articles..
Avoid the chemicals and alcohols that trash your skin that are in conventional products. Just use a bit of coconut oil and wipe off the excess. Excellent results - without risks. And a whole lot cheaper.

What are the advantages of using moisturiser cream? what are disadvantages of not using moistures on ur face?

A moisturizer's real purpose is to lock water in your skin to keep it from dehydrating. Moisturizers can act as carriers of other ingredients that are good for the skin such as Vitamin A, E, or C, or important lipids.

Even oily skin people need a moisturizer because without it, water will evaporate out of the skin, the oil gland will sense a dry skin surface which in turn will over activate the oil gland. Then you have a condition of oily, but dry skin. What are the advantages of using moisturiser cream? what are disadvantages of not using moistures on ur face?
    what she said^

oh and also make sure to use an oil free moisterizer so u wont get break outs and using a moisterizer is alos really imporatnt cuz if ya dont,ur skin starts producing all this oil (to compinsate for the dryness) which clogs pores, and causes acne. i also heard using a good moisterizer daily will help reduce wrinkles in the future.

i don't see any dis advantages in using a moisterizer.

What's the difference between a face cream and a moisturiser?

They are both the same face cream moistrises your skin

    - Is moisturiser classified as make up?

No moisturiser can be used as a make up base before foundation to get even coverage and you can also buy tinted mosituriser which has some foundation in it for a light coverage

    - Do people wear moisturiser without putting on make-up afterwards?

Most people moisturise in the morning and at night after cleansing their face, its down to preference if you want to wear make up or not after it

    - Is moisturiser only to be used for the evening?

No you get day creams and night creams

    - Is it like foundation?

It is nothing like foundation although you apply it in the same way as a liquid foundation although like I said you can get tinted moisturisers that have some foundation in themWhat's the difference between a face cream and a moisturiser?
no moisturiser is used to moisturise your face , if you have dry skin. some people might, i don't i use moisturiser on then foundation. no you can use it whenever, not really foundation i used to hide blemishes and make you browner/lighter (to even your skin out)
You normally apply moisturiser after cleansing, so it can be applied anytime, day or night. You can wear makeup over the top of it.

It's not like foundation - foundation is a skin coloured make-up base, used to even out skin tone.
Moisturiser keeps your face moister and fresh. And makes it feel really smooth. I use it all the time!
