Why when using moisturiser creams does my eyes always end up puffy and tired looking the next day?

Do you think the one im currently using is too strong (which is boots beauty serum)? or am i putting it too close to my eyes? Also what ons would you recommend?

Puffy eyes is a variety in which the eyes begins to swell due to certain reasons.May be in ur case it is due to using moisturizer Instead of using moisturizer u can go for some eye cream. bcoz skin under our eyes are very sensitive and need special and effective care so i recommended you to go for Eyelastin cream it is so effective.

hope this will work for u.Why when using moisturiser creams does my eyes always end up puffy and tired looking the next day?
its probably not the right one for your skin, try using a milder one

make sure whatever you're using is specially made for the eye area, because that area has very sensitive skin
Never use a facial moisturiser around your eyes. You must use an eye cream specifically for this area. Your eye skin is 6 times thinner than your face so face cream/serum is just too heavy, hence the puffiness.

You are lucky that you have only got puffiness, this will go away when you stop using the serum, you could have ended up with 'milia' which are tiny bumps under the skin and hard like rice grains - this is due to a heavy cream getting trapped under the skin and hardening, they are difficult to remove!
First off eyes are very sensitive. Something too heavy, too acidly (which often is the high perfume percentage of a cream) will make them water, get puffy or reddish. Secondly avoid the eye area and use some eye cream tested for allergy free substances. .

Good luck ... and spread carefully ;)
Jizer,

Use creams made specifically for the eye area. I use and recommend Extreme Eye Rescue.

hope this helps you as it did for me.
Make sure when putting on moisturiser you don't get it in your tear ducts! It can block them and leave your eyes very very puffy (it happened to my mum)! I say either choose a less strong one or keep it well away from eyes :)
Boots beauty serum is quite rich so I expect it's just too heavy for the skin around your eyes. I would buy an eye cream instead. Boots do lots of good ones. I like the Time Delay one and it's not too expensive.
This condition of yours is because moisturizers are not meant to get rid from puffy eyes, for that you have to use special eye cream like eyelastin,
Don't put it near your eyes. Buy an eye cream.
