Is it okay to use canned coconut cream as a moisturiser?

Although sold as a foodstuff would it be okay to put on your skin? I know coconut oil is very good for your skin.

Is it okay? Since it's safe to consume, I'd assume putting it on your skin is not going to kill you.





I'd use it like a mask for moisturizing, and not leave it on for extended periods of time. It might clog pores, and give you pimples. Not to mention that it wouldn't smell so good after being on for a while, might get rancid...
