Trying to get old paint stain off of a deck. Easiest way?{besides on my hands and knees and scrub brush}?

It is very old redwood stain on the deck. I have tried power washing. The best way I have found is a stiff scrubbing brush and muscle. I hope to stain the deck before too long and want most of the old stuff off because it is peeling.Trying to get old paint stain off of a deck. Your best bet is a belt sander. Stain penetrates the wood so no matter how much you scrub, unless you remove the stained material it will always be there.
There is a better way, buy a scrub brush with a long handle, sorry, no short cuts here.
You might consider a pressure washer. If you don't have one, they can be rented.
I would look into renting a buffing machine and get a large sandpaper disk (they have them in some hardware stores). Since it is peeling, maybe even a long handled scraper. Sanding is probably the best way (still on your knees but less tiring than a scrub brush if electric)
If power washing won't remove the stain than try sanding your deck.

Talk to your local hardware store and they can tell you a good stain remover (stripper) to use.
The question isnt whats easy its whats the right way...... strip that stuff off with a paint scraper, or a high pressure water thing( the one thats so strong itll break the skin if you point it at your arm). *the easiest way* is to call a deck guy and pay some big bucks, and thell tear that old rotting deck out for ya and put in a brand new deck in and you wont have to do a thing.-peace
